BB MINAQUA, Novi Sad, is the first privately-owned stock company among more than 20 mineral water producers in Serbia. This water has taken second place on the domestic market right behind “Knjaz Milos”, Arandjelovac.

MINAQUA was very well known brand in Europe at the beginning of 20th century. In 1911. it gained Grand–prix for it’s quality in Roma, Paris and London. This water is the only one in Europe with such high content of naturally dissolved iodium (1,8 mg per liter). Two glasses of MINAQUA per day suttisfy daily needs of human organism for iodine.

MINAQUA’S spring is 280 meters below the surface where it’s protected from any kind of pollution. The water is filtered, carbonated and than packed in 2 liters and 0,33 liter PET bottles as well as in 5.75 liter bottle .

MINAQUA has invested 3 mil. Euro in a new filling line for 2, 0.5 and 0.33 lit bottles from SIG SIMONAZZI, Italy. This filling line, installed in January 2005, with capacity 12.000 bph, will provide enough capacity for growing demand for mineral water.

This water is well known for its high content of naturally dissolved iodine. This is significant advantage of Minaqua among other mineral waters as with two glasses of Minaqua per day, one satisfies daily needs for iodine.

Ever since it has been privatized in 1999 this company has been growing rapidly.

From year 2000 BB Minaqua introduced system of quality ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001/EN ISO 14001. During 2005 preparations are made for HACCP (Hazard Analyses and Critical Control Point) which will control all critical points during production. In April 2006, company gained HACCP certifikate, which enables fast and troubleless export of MINAQUA'S products to foreign countries.

 

MENSA SCG

The organization introduced a unique system of socializing, the SIGs (short for Special Interest Group). The idea is that three or more members, who discover a mutual interest in a particular subject, get together in a group to tackle different problems connected to that subject, share their experiences on the matter and pursue the activity abiding by the rules set by the group.

A very important mean of communication in Mensa is the Mensa Bulletin. We all work on it together. All members are welcome to write articles for the Bulletin on any topic of their interest. You should not forget that this is a society of people who have many things in common, and who are interested in seeing what the others do.

The other interesting mean of communication is gathering, which can be organized by SIGs, regional societies or the Assembly. At this moment, regional Mensas from Novi Sad and Belgrade are the most active, so the meetings in those cities are regular.

NOVI SAD CHESS CLUB

Novi Sad Chess Club is the oldest chess club in Serbia and Montenegro, as well as in Balkan. It was founded in 1922.

By organizing large chess tournaments – international and domestic tournaments, championships and Chess Olympiad in 1990 – Novi Sad Chess Club gained good reputation all over the chess world.

Novi Sad Chess Club exists for 83 years and without interruptions sustaining competitions and tournaments.

The most important characteristic of NS Chess Club is continual work with young players and creating of own Club players. From NS Chess Club came some of our great chess names such as Popovic, Lazic, Kovacevic and Solak, and perspective players Benkovic, Vuk Savanovic, Jelen Trivunovic and Boban Bogosavljevic.
